This year SSAFA – the Armed Forces Charity are celebrating their 130th Anniversary, by attending a number of fund raising events throughout County Durham.
We are most grateful to the Rotary Club for organising the Community Fair, once again and delighted to be taking part in the Aycliffe Festival Launch, which gave us an opportunity to meet our friends and hopefully make new friends!
In addition, local Rotarians have been most generous with their support of SSAFA (Sedgefield Division), giving appropriate help quickly when most needed, they recently held a ‘Geordie lunch’ in aid of community organisations and we were delighted to receive a cheque for £356.65 from  the proceeds,  this was a lovely surprise, thank you. We know how hard you work and your benevolence is much appreciated.
Since late December our SSAFA Sedgefield division’s dedicated team of caseworkers have had the privilege of assisting 40 desperate cases expending £26,611.98 in their support, we are still very busy but are most grateful for your continued support.
SSAFA are poised and ready to assist our Armed Forces Family, if you need our help, wanting to get involved or just want to know more about us please call us in confidence on 01325 314043
Finally, we would like to congratulate Newton News on their acquisition of BBC building and also thank them for their constant valuable service to the community, for which we are most grateful
