Spectrum Roller Skaters celebrated their recent success at a National Competition with a Mexican Fiesta ‘Encanto’ themed Roller Disco to end their Easter half term holiday activities and mark the 8th anniversary of club.
Celebrating in style with costumes, decorations, cakes and Mexican music, families enjoyed a night of skating fun ending with a piñata! There were colourful streamers and a PhotoBooth as well as Mexican themed tattoos. Of course, no Mexican night would be complete without ‘We don’t talk about Bruno’ music from the latest Disney film Encanto.
The roller disco rounded off a fabulous Easter for Team Spectrum after an Easter fun day with egg and spoon races on skates and a 5 hour Easter Roller Boot Camp. It really was a team effort and Spectrum Roller Skating Club have a fabulous group of families supporting the local community sports club.
During the eight years, Spectrum has had success at Nationals, British Championships and a skater take part in an international competition. There have been exhibitions, shows and lots of fun along the way.
Training regularly at Sunnydale Leisure Centre in Shildon, Spectrum RSC have something for everyone from beginners to experts as well as a fun weekly roller disco.
