School Council members from St. Joseph’s School will be helping to raise money for the Royal British Legion. They will be selling poppies and other poppy merchandise during break times to pupils and after school to Parents.
“As a school we feel that Remembrance is a very important occasion and always do all we can to commemorate the great contributions service men and women have made.”
The Royal British Legion held its first poppy appeal to help those returning from the First World War. Money from the appeal is used to provide support for bereaved families, help wounded service men and women, assist younger veterans with finding accommodation and other employment and to support older veterans needing age-related care.
