Scarlet Dunn had a great weekend at Rowrah, Cumbria this weekend for Round 2 of the “Let’s Go Karting” Championship.

She was competing against the biggest number of competitors on the grid she’s ever faced – as some were there practicing for next weekend’s Motorsport UK British Championship round – and it didn’t phase her at all; the School Aycliffe racer hit the ground running and qualified 3rd against 15 others including some of the fastest young drivers in the country.

In the heats there was lots of overtaking to be done, which was great practice, and her results placed her 5th overall on the day.

This also moves her up to 5th place in the Let’s Go Karting championship.

Brother Harrison was also at hand to watch his big sister compete. They will both be out practicing during the Easter School holidays at Teesside Autodrome and Scarlet will be competing once again at Wombwell kart circuit near Barnsley this coming weekend.
