The Hamsterley Forest 10K trail race in aid of Butterwick Hospice took place last Sunday and was well supported by Aycliffe Running Club. Sixteen runners turned out and the marshalling, led by Rob Nicholson, ensured everything went smoothly.
In the race itself all the runners coped well with the demanding course and enjoyed the challenge. First home for the club, back from injury, was Dez Fielden in 9th position 41m:10s. Followed by Tom Porter 22nd 44:36 and Matthew Heron 26th 44:55. Other results were as follows;
