Famous dance crew ‘Ruff Diamond’ from the hit TV programme ‘Got to Dance’ made a special and exclusive appearance at KDANZ in Newton Aycliffe last week!! Crew Members Zac and Lewis who performed in the Live final at the Olympia in March 2013 came along to Newton Aycliffe Youth Centre to provide a workshop for KDANZ pupils.
KDANZ, a non profit dance school, invited the boys to come along and put their Excite crew to the test and KDANZ really impressed!! Both lads were so pleased with how advanced everyone was, they suggested group of 1v1 battles!! The night was a great success and a fantastic opportunity for children in the Newton Aycliffe and surrounding areas.
Principal, Kay Thompson said, “Zac and Lewis really inspired the boys in our group, not only with the amazingly hard break dance moves but also by being good positive role models and challenging the negative attitude towards teenagers. It is so nice to see children in our area succeeding in their goals and at KDANZ we are so thankful that Ruff Diamond were able to visit. We have arranged for a Ruff Dimaond member to come and teach weekly sessions for us until christmas to spur on any budding break dance boys out there!”
