On behalf of Rotary International Tony Robinson presented a cheque for £2000 to Marie Robson on behalf of District 1285 Manchester Arena Families Trust. Her daughter was injured in the arena attack and this is to help set up a North East support group for victims suffering trauma from the attack.

Manchester Arena Families Trust is a charity set up by Rotary District 1285 to receive funds sent in by other Rotary clubs etc. to support victims of the Manchester bombing.

Millie Robson from Newton Aycliffe was injured in the attack and her mother Marie became aware of the fund through the police and general counselling they were receiving in the Manchester area.

Marie applied for £2000 towards the setting up costs of a support group in the North East to give local help for people recovering from the trauma. The Trust contacted The Rotary Club of Newton Aycliffe to pass on their cheque.
