A group of Year 9 Engineering students from Woodham Academy recently visited Nissan UK in Sunderland where they took part in the North East VEX V5 robotics competition.
The students designed and created a robot in their team which had to pick up and move discs from the competition floor to a team area. In addition to this, and by far the most challenging task of the day, students had to create a robotics programme to control all the different functions of the robot during its testing.
