Leading British shower designer and manufacturer, Roman, recently held a head shaving fundraiser for the charity MIND.
Matthew Brown, an apprentice at Roman, had his head shaved in front of colleagues in Roman’s manufacturing plant. Matthew started an Engineering apprenticeship in September 2017 and undertakes this with SWDT on Aycliffe Business Park.
Matthew wanted to do something to raise money for the MIND charity as members of his family have been affected by mental illness.
Matthew raised nearly £400 for the charity MIND who provides advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. They campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding.
Matthew Brown commented: “I have always wanted to do something to raise awareness and funds for MIND charity as I have close family who have been affected by mental illness. Everyone knows how much I love my hair, so I decided to get it all shaved off to see how much money I could raise.”
