A team of eight from Palram on the business Park took part in the Coast to Coast (Whitehaven to Roker) bike ride of over 140 miles,in aid of the Great North Air Ambulance and raised over £2000. This event was over two days with those taking part aged from 21 – 64, they all did wonderfully and have really done us, themselves and their families proud.
Palram had the air ambulance their supervisors Alan had a heart attack, he is now back at work fighting fit. Just over 5 years ago, the air ambulance was there when Palram had an explosion whereby Ian Barlow was injured. Ian was critically ill suffering a high percentage of burns and was very lucky to go on to make a full recovery and return back to work within months. This is all down to the wonderful work of the GNAA.
A representative from the GNAA visited at 3pm to collect the funds raised. The Palram Peddlers and the people whose lives were saved by amazing Air Ambulance service were also present.
