For the third successive year, keen gardeners Trish and Mike Hatton, have opened their delightful garden at 16 Riverside, South Church to the public and donated all of the proceeds to the Bishop Auckland Fundraising Group of Marie Curie. This successful group has raised in excess of £100,000 in the 5 years it has been in existence, thanks to the incredible generosity of the people of South West Durham.
Following the opening, Trish and Mike invited members of the Marie Curie Group along to their garden to officially present the magnificent sum of £863.
All monies raised will be used to provide ‘end of life care’ in the Bishop Auckland area.
The Bishop Auckland Group meet on the first Tuesday of the month at 1.15pm at the Community Fire Station on Watling Road and welcomes new members.
