Richard Rossi from Newton Aycliffe set up BeaniesforBabies.Com because when looking for a gift for his nephew found he was unable to buy a handmade crochet baby hat.
He decided to set up a business website to sell them himself. He employs knitters to produce the goods and buyers can purchase the hats at www.beaniesforbabies.com and pay via PayPal.
The hats are for newborn babies, premature babies, 0-3 months, 3-6 months, 9-12 months. Handmade crochet baby boots are also available.
The website was launched in December 2012, and still needs a little bit of work doing to it but goods are on sale now.
