From Thursday July 2nd to Saturday July 4th could be a golden opportunity for residents of Willington, Newton Aycliffe and Coxhoe to cash on their inherited and unwanted medals and coins along with all associated items such as militaria, badges, postcards, pocket watches or unwanted gold and silver items. These are the days the team of experts from The Medal Centre will be running three of their specialist Coin and Medal valuation days at The Phoenix Christian Centre, Watling Terrace, Willington, DL15-0HL on Thursday July 2nd, followed by St Clare’s Church, Central Avenue, on Friday July 3rd. There will be a final event on Saturday July 4th at Coxhoe Village Hall, Front Street, Coxhoe, DH6-4DB.
The person present is an expert in his own chosen field and will be on hand to give free verbal valuations on any inherited medals and military items as well as coins and banknotes and most other small collectables, including scrap gold and broken jewellery in any form but particularly gold coins such as sovereigns and kruggerands or gold watches and watch chains.
Please remember the expert will be happy to make you an immediate on-the-spot cash offer for your unwanted items and will be happy to offer the very best prices available. Most people are delighted at the large amounts they are offered.
It has been a couple of months since The Medal Centre last visited this area and they have been asked to return due to the huge response to the last set of events held locally.
One local resident was absolutely thrilled to accept a four figure sum for her small tin box containing her late Uncle’s Medals for bravery during WW1 along with his campaign medals for service in the Boer War and WW1. She also had a small selection of gold and silver coins along with a small amount of broken gold jewellery.
The lady said that not only was she astounded to discover how much her items were worth, but that the money could not have come at a better time due to the current financial situation. On top of all that she was delighted to be able to help local ex-servicemen and women.
There has never been a better time to sell your inherited collectable items as, due to The Medal Centre’s vast client base, they are able to offer the best possible prices and the proprietor, Mr Andrew Jukes, was recently quoted as saying “We are now able to pay exceptionally high prices for all medals from a single item to a complete collection”.  Prices for this type of item are at an all time high.
Andrew also said he never ceases to be amazed at the diverse range of items that are brought to the events by the general public, however he can also be just as amazed at the amount of times people mention things that they have left at home because they thought they were of little or no value.
Andrew says “the golden rule is bring it along to one of our days and let the experts decide if your item is of value”.  It is also a good way to help your local community as The Medal Centre will be giving a donation to ex-service charities for every item they are able to purchase on the day.  If you cannot attend on the day one of the experts from The Medal Centre will be happy to call and see you at your convenience and they can be contacted on 01434 609794 or 07950 421704.
