Move to Scarborough After 8 years

Dear Sir,
On Sunday 26th July Neville Parade Methodist Church bid an emotional farewell to Rev. Graham and Rev. Emma Morgan.
They have served the Church at Neville Parade for the past eight years and are moving on shortly to take up a new challenge and ministry in Scarborough.
For the last four years my Dad – George Wheatley – has known their help, comfort and support through the sad and difficult time after the death of my Mum.
I know he is immensely grateful to Graham and Emma for their love and prayerful support of him and our Family. I was so pleased to be able to attend the Service on Sunday and to see again that Neville Parade Methodist Church is a place that Newton Aycliffe can be proud of and its congregation is one who faithfully gathers week after week to worship God and to genuinely care for, and look out for one another.
Graham and Emma have worked tirelessly to support the Church and the folks of Newton Aycliffe through Churches Together and beyond. I’m sure their ministry will be missed – as much as the impact and legacy of it will remain.
They leave many friends at Neville Parade and beyond – me included – who are so grateful for all they have done….and all that they mean.
I’m sure I won’t be the only one who would want to say a huge ‘Thank You’ to them through Newton News!
Neville Parade Methodist Church has been part of the fabric of Newton Aycliffe for over 50 years.
It is a gem of a Church with a small congregation with a massive heart and an immense amount of care and compassion.
It may not figure ever so highly on the ‘radar’ like other larger Churches in the Town. But its strength lies in its genuine concern for the People of the Town and how they can be served through living out the truths of the Gospel.
It is a Church that Newton Aycliffe can be proud of – and well worth a visit!
You will, I’m sure be warmly welcomed!
Sandra Wheatley
