Allison White, founder of the group, said: “I would like to thank Keith and Jade as well as Daniel Mellanby and the Locomotion Football Club for making this event possible. It means so much to me and the members of the group and the money raised will help our members enjoy short breaks away in our static caravan, spending quality time with their families. It will also help fund various social outings such as day trips, just getting out of your home environment for a few hours helps so much and getting the chance to talk to others going through the same illness”. “We have patients at different stages of cancer and for some who are terminally ill their time is so precious. We are also reaching out to those who are isolated and suffer from loneliness who have this awful disease. We want to make sure they are not fighting cancer alone and that we are here to help”. The group has over 60 members each one needing help and support and we rely on generous people coming forward to help.
