Dear Sir,
I see that Gove has allocated £1BN for brexit towns. It seems that Spennymoor is one of them that has been lucky, again!
The problem I see here is that we have our MP, Paul Howell, who tells us that he has close ties with PM, Rishi Sunak, having breakfast with him, sitting next to him and showing him round our town, the largest in County Durham, but he has let his constituents down again by not getting Newton Aycliffe any off this allocated money.
This money could have helped the town get our police station back and pushed Joy Allen, PCC, to sort it out instead of finding excuses how not to get on with it.
We read every week, in our free local paper, his ego busting diary what he does but he has never yet been able to do anything here for his own constituents and I wonder why.
Can he honestly tell us why he has failed again and will he apologise for letting us down?
As he intends to stand again for the Conservatives, at the next general election, I think his chances are very thin, unless he can pull off a few miracles. If he thinks anything of his constituents he would stand down and see if we have someone else, who would care and fight for us, to stand instead.
The chances are that people will not vote for him, but for Starmer’s Labour candidate which of course, would leave us with a Labour MP again, no good for our town as we would be going backwards instead of forwards.
