May we walk in their light with their love in our hearts
and their courage and strength in our souls,
may we fight the good fight and stand firm for our rights
and for those of our brothers – our whole.
May the youth of today also walk down that way,
led by truth, led by faith, led by love
and continue when we have to go – have to leave –
have to join with those comrades above.
May we walk hand in hand, let us work as a band,
like those soldiers who fought in the wars,
may we stand tall with pride and may we never hide
from the truth and the rights of a cause.
May we all give our thanks to those valiant ranks
who did suffer – that we can go on –
make us appreciate all our freedom today
and send thanks to all those who have gone.
Let us never forget as we go on through time –
as we reap all the seeds they have sown –
all our brothers and sisters who fought line on line
so that we can call our lives our own.
