K9 Pursuits held its first Kennel Club Heelwork to Music Competition at the OakLeaf Sports complex.
The event was opened by the Mayor and Mayoress and was attended by competitors from all over the country.
Gill Crawford and Andrea Rogers said they couldn’t have done it without their fantastic team of helpers. The weekend show was not put off by the rain and there were lots of prizes and rosettes awarded.
The event was visited by a Kennel Club field officer who was so impressed by the venue and organisation of the event, he stayed for over two hours longer than needed.
The Mayor returned on Sunday and took part in the fun by taking a dog into the ring and doing some training. The staff at the OakLeaf were amazing and very helpful as always.
Thanks to everyone who helped and supported this event. Newton Aycliffe and the North East is now on the map for one of the best Heelwork to Music Competitions.
