Pawprint, the eco start up app which aims to unite and empower us all in the fight against climate change has today launched its first crowdfund campaign. Hosted by Crowdcube and seeking investments from £10 to £15,000 in return for equity shares in this globally impactful start-up.

Pawprint is tackling the biggest global threat facing our planet; Climate Change with the free Pawprint app (PWA), giving users the power to measure, understand and reduce their carbon footprint by implementing changes in their lifestyle choices. Founded by experienced entrepreneur and Lingo24 founder Christian Arno, the app is also scientifically backed by the leading author and expert in carbon footprint measurement – Mike Berners-Lee.

Launching in May 2020, Pawprint has already attracted funding of £580k from entrepreneurs including Oli Norman of Itison and Kevin Dorren of Dietchef alongside early backers of Tesla, Spotify and Amazon. All investments through Crowdcube will be at the same valuation as these angel investors, enabling everyone to own a stake in this high impact company.

Christian Arno, founder and Pawprint CEO said; “Globally we are currently facing two main threats to our planet and our collective health. Covid-19 is undoubtedly the most immediate but climate change remains the bigger existential threat. It has been both humbling and inspiring to witness people pulling together to help their communities in the fight against coronavirus and this is the very ethos that Pawprint is built on.

“Pawprint builds on this traditional community spirit, uniting people throughout the world to take collective action ‘for the greater good’ delivered via a digital solution.

“Until now, whilst there has been a growing recognition of the problem and a general desire to tackle it, there has been no trusted source that people can rely on to inform their personal lifestyle choices for maximum impact. This where Pawprint comes in.

“We need to act at scale, and fast, which is why we are launching this crowdfund to help us spread the word and build an army of Pawprinters. We can all play our part in building a globally impactful company that can tackle the next global crisis – climate change.”

Luke Lang, Crowdcube co-founder added; “We love businesses with a purpose and ambition to make a difference to the world. I look forward to seeing Pawprint inspire their community and ours with their innovative solution to measuring people’s carbon footprint.”
