The children in Y5 at Sugar Hill Primary are working on their latest project Peace and Conflict and, in particular, similarities and differences between the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings. Local historian, Tanya Bentham presented the hands-on workshop. The children were thrilled when they dressed as warriors and learned about life in Anglo-Saxon Britain. Interactive workshops with Tanya really bring history to life. Many thanks to Tanya for inspiring staff and children with her knowledge and bringing so many artefacts in to school for the children to see. We are looking forward to the Year 5 Showcase for parents and carers at the end of this term, when the children will be using their oracy skills to demonstrate their learning.
