Lifeline Community Action held its very first Baby Basics event at The Western Area Community Centre on Monday morning.  It was hailed a great success as many families in our community received much needed support. We were able to distribute, pushchairs, safely gates, nappies, clothing, household packs and educational toys.
One lady said “I was at my wits end and I really didn’t know what I could do to receive help.  I now feel so overwhelmed with the help that I’ve been given. My baby who will be born soon will have a much better start”.
Baby Basics is a project that supports struggling parents with small children with much needed essentials and equipment. The next event is on Monday 1st June between 9.30 – 11am
We are looking to replenish our stock and whilst nearly all our items are new we would gladly accept nearly new items like pushchairs, prams, clothing and toys. If you know someone who needs our help please ring Linzi on 07936 431262 or e-mail lifeline.action@googlemail.com
