A group of people from Fit4longer decided to do the “ToughMann” in February just for fun. Shortly after signing up one of their fellow members lost her Dad  to cancer.
He spent his final days at St Teresa’s Hospice who looked after him and made his final moments comfortable for both himself and his family.  From that day on the group weren’t just running for fun, but for Katie’s Dad, raising funds for the hospice.
The girls ran hundreds of  miles to get fit for the challenge. They’ve gone from people who couldn’t run 30 seconds to being able to cover 10km in under an hour. They completed their last boot camp for the charity this week raising £127 which brings the grand total to £519.
Well done to Sarah, Donna, Katie, Lindsey and Paul as well as a big thank you to Grants Gym and Newton Aycliffe Youth & Community Centre for free use of their hall.
