Heighington & Redworth children
• Please leave your vehicles at home & walk your children to school
Infant (older) children
• Parents of Infant children use the accepted ONE WAY system to school
• Drive into and along Highside Road and turn into Hopelands
• Stop your car on the LEFT side of Hopelands EITHER before the School Keep Clear markings OR across the entrance to the school between the two sets of School Keep Clear markings
• Let your child out of your vehicle using your NEARSIDE car door only so that your child does not have to cross the road
• Having watched your child go into the school access road drive into Millbank and continue your journey. Do not wait to see them actually go through the school gate.

ALL INAPPROPRIATE/OBSTRUCTIVE/DANGEROUS PARKING MAY BE SUBJECT TO POLICE ENFORCEMENT

In September parents of Heighington Primary School will find a change in the parking layout down Redworth Road and Hopelands. Car parking will now be permitted from the bus stop on Redworth Road down to the end of the School playing field and No Parking double yellow lines will be painted from the end of the school playing field down towards the A6072, the Heighington Bypass.
This is to stop all vehicles parking on this stretch of road which as it leads up to the brow of the hill, has been causing a lot of concern from many people who have to drive on the wrong side of the road up to the blind summit.
Obviously, this new No Parking area will reduce the available number of cars that will be able to park on Redworth Road so it is important that all parents give some thought to car sharing which will help improve the safety of our children when they come into school
The area leading into the school main gates will also be a No Parking area. Any vehicle found parking on any of these new No Parking areas or any of those areas that are protected by yellow lines, will receive a fine
