Dear Sir, Whilst the town centre redevelopment is coming along quite nicely, particularly the clock end, (apart from all the empty shops of course, it is baffling why the landlords prefer no rent to lower rents) it is still not a pleasant place to visit for mainly one reason. I would love to be able to walk from Aldi to Wilkinsons and beyond without being shouted at, accosted and generally harassed by the plethora of sales people who gather in that area. You get harangued as you walk to whichever shop you are visiting and then AGAIN on the way back.

You can tell how sick people are of this by watching their reactions which could be deemed ignorant if you did not know they had been effectively chased up and down the town for the fifth time that week. I understand people are trying to make a living but just erect a small stand and if we want what you have to offer we will come to you and you do not have to hound and attack us in the same way child beggars descend on people in Mumbai. I am pretty sure this will be deterring people from visiting the town centre at a time when just the opposite is much needed. Whoever is in charge of allowing these people to use these areas need to do something about this behaviour.
