Deputy Head Teacher retires after serving over 33 years at Aycliffe Village school.
Interviewed by Benjamin and Tyler Year 6 pupils.
Mrs Anne Brown retired from Aycliffe Village Primary and Nursery School after serving over 33 years at the end of the Autumn term 2022. She joined as a teacher in 1989 and quickly rose to Deputy Headship. She has taught many hundreds of children from Aycliffe Village and the surrounding areas after dedicating the vast majority of her teaching career to the school. When asked what her favourite memories of our school are she replied “My favourite memories are of all of the wonderful children and all the plays we have performed – most memorable was A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”
She said she will also miss all of the children and staff because that is what makes our school special, as well as the lovely parents and governors.
There is no doubt that Mrs Brown will be missed by the school community but we wish her a long and happy retirement.
