Students at Greenfield Community College have been given the opportunity to participate in an exciting project that will explore ways to express their opinions and ideas with confidence.
‘Your Voice, Your Say’ has been developed by Greenfield Arts in partnership with The Forge working with drama practitioner Alex Elliott. Through creative learning, the students are encouraged to develop their communication and debating skills and be inspired to ‘make a difference’.
The project is being led by performer Alex Elliott who is delivering the sessions alongside Katy Milne, Director of Arts and Creativity at Greenfield Arts. “Alex is facilitating some clever creative techniques to develop listening skills, build confidence and support the young people to express themselves. The young people are responding really well”. One student said “I’m feeling things differently and have realised that there are some great things in the area I live”.
Greenfield Community College are a Specialist Arts and Science school and are committed to offering quality opportunities such as ‘Your Voice, Your Say’ to young people to facilitate their learning, raise aspirations and develop ambitious self-led learners.
We are looking forward to showcasing the results of Your Voice, Your Say at the end of the year and sharing the learning.
