The new Spring Term Community Learning Programme at Greenfield Arts is available for bookings, with courses starting the week commencing 16th January 2017 and lots of opportunities for everyone. We are pleased to announce the return of our hugely successful Core Arts course, which is designed to give participants a rounded understanding of core artistic skills via 3 different art forms, including: photography, drawing, and digital design, and enable further development opportunities. This term we have added elements which will develop artistic practice, including digital uploading and storage; advice on materials and a complimentary SHED digital hub induction, worth £80, to continue to develop your skills after the course. Rosi Thornton also returns with her brilliant Re-Jig Sewing sessions, which are a great way to learn new skills whilst building friendships and confidence.

The group have developed some great work and friendships over the last term and always enjoy meeting new friendly faces. New additions will be a Beginners Painting and Creative Writing masterclasses. Jilly Johnston will be in residence for 5 weeks to develop your skills in watercolour, oil and acrylic painting. John Dean will be offering a one off beginners and advanced masterclass in the skills you need to succeed with your creative writing. We offer many other courses for adults, which run for 10 weeks at a time in various arts and well-being disciplines including Spanish, floral art, fitness, health and music. Try something new and meet some wonderful people along the way. Young people can come and join our after school team and enjoy our weekly Art Club or Young Yoga. Great ways for young people to try new skills and make friends in a safe environment.

We also host the South Durham School of Dance which is a constant fixture at the centre and a great opportunity for young people to develop their passions.
