Last month saw the one year Anniversary of the Monthly Greenfield Events held at ROF59 on Aycliffe Business Park.
The events have been open to all Year 7 and 8 pupils who attend Greenfield School* and this month will see the first month the event will be open to all pupils who go to Greenfield School*.
The evening allows the young people to use the trampolines and adventure walls plus different special activities every month which could be anything from laser tag to jumping off the ‘drop zone’ or whizzing down the zip wire!
The events are organised by Greenfield parent Helen Smith who said the events are simply to allow “the young people to have an opportunity to access fun activities and socialise in a safe place. As a parent of a teenager I can see that often the only options available to them can be to roam the streets, go on their phones or play on their games consoles, this event gives them a chance to do something different. I would urge any Greenfield pupil to give the event a try.”
Helen went on to praise the young people who go to the events, “They are an absolute credit to their parents, their school and to Newton Aycliffe, I am always incredibly proud of the way they all behave and impressed at their willingness to try new activities and overcome challenges.”
The next event is on Friday 7th June 2019, 6-8pm at ROF59. If you wish to book a place, or for more details, please TEXT Helen on 07506 984 556. Please note we only have 60 places (available on a first come first served basis). You can also find the event details on Facebook (search Greenfield Parent Organised Year 7 and 8 Events).
Also look out for details of the final event of the school year in July which hopefully will add in the element of competition!
*Please note this event is entirely parent organised and has NO association with Greenfield School. Please do not contact the school regarding this event.
