Schemes aimed at supporting children and young people could get a kick-start with up to £7,000 funding available for each one.
The money is available from the 4Together Area Action Partnership (AAP) for projects in Bishop Middleham, Chilton, Ferryhill or West Cornforth or projects that directly benefit these areas.
Funding between £5,000 and £7,000 is available for each project. Applications forms, to be returned by Friday 19 December, are available from fouraap@durham.gov.uk or ringing 03000 267 210.
Final decisions will be made after the year with new projects expected to start by May 2015 at the earliest. The AAP is one of 14 AAP’s set-up by Durham County Council in 2009 as a way of engaging with local communities.
