Under 10 Falcons travelled to Darlington 21st All Stars B for their final game of the season with a couple of players missing, and another player was injured in the warm up.
I asked players to go out and enjoy their football win, lose or draw. All Stars came racing out the traps and played some good passing football. We struggled to cope with the pressure and found ourselves undone late in the first half. HT 1-0. Second half we picked our game up, but All Stars stood firm. We were caught out by a high punt in the air, which was fumbled into the net. The boys didn’t give up and the last 5 minutes was all Falcons pressure, but today wasn’t going to be our day.
It’s now a waiting game to see whether we clinch promotion. A Top 3 finish is guaranteed, and we should all be proud of the effort we have put in this season.
Myself and David cannot express the pleasure we have in coaching  the boys and the commitment they have shown. A big thank you to all players and parents for your support this season.
I would also wish Jack Gray all the best who is leaving us. Jack has been with the team since development and will be a big miss, all the best in whatever you do. Thank also to Michael Hay for giving his time to help train the boys.
