When the Avenue School closed various items were given to a Charity Shop in the Town Centre and Doris and John Atkinson bought the painting shown above which was framed and had pride of place on her wall.
They now wish to give the painting back to the original student artist hoping he will recognise the work and get in touch with them to claim it back.
Doris and John would be interested to know if he or she is still in Newton Aycliffe and whether or not the undoubted talent shown in the painting was utilised.
