Decent Pay
When I fell off my trike last week
I felt an utter fool
It’s not the sort of thing men do
long after leaving school
Eight broken ribs, a fractured hip
days on my back in pain
You can bet your life I’II never do
that sort of thing again
Despite those fools in government
the NHS still works
It staggers on each night and day
devoid of any perks
When will them idiots in control
do what people say
Give Nurses, Doctors and all the staff
a decent working pay.
