With plenty of glitter spray and lipstick, Get on your Feet, Pierremont School of Dance, dance show performed six shows over two weeks in front of an audience of over 200 people each time.

The dance school always give half the proceeds to the British Heart Foundation, as that’s a historical charity in memory of a previous dancer, Amy McLachlan, who passed away.

This time the dance school wanted to donate the other half to Kieran Maxwell’s Legacy, after hearing about how inspirational Kieran was and also being a local lad they wanted to donate to this amazing fund.

The cheque presentation was handed over on the last dance show in front of Kieran’s family and the dance school were pleased to donate £500 for the cause.

Not only was it ticket sales that helped raise the funds, but a raffle at every show and bucket collections. If it wasn’t for the excellent support that each of the dancers family and friends give, then the show would never have happened.

We would like to thank everyone of them, but also the dancers who danced their hearts out and we love teaching them.

Nicola Maxwell came up on the stage after the show and she quoted something that she remembers Kieran had said about the stage at Polam Hall “He was awarded with some sport type of award, not sure what, but he mentioned the steps leading up to the stage were a nightmare. And she now can see what he was talking about. The performance was amazing. I was bowled away with how good all of the dancers were including the little ones, thank you”.
