Free Clothes and Shoes to People in Need

Due to huge popularity the Helping Hands team are now ready to host another FASHION SHOW at the Youth & Community Centre on Saturday 8th March from 2-4pm.
2pm Reception and Nibbles followed at 2.15pm by the  Fashion Show. At 3.00pm Refreshments will be served along with cake and prizes.
Alwyn White project leader of Helping Hands said “I’m always astounded by the dedication of the team, especially our Fashion Show Director, Caroline Sturgeon.  The team exceed all expectations and will make it an evening to remember for our VIP guests.”
All the fashion models are from Life Church in Newton Aycliffe that meets every Thursday at Greenfield School main hall at 6.30pm.
The age range is from teens to pensioners! They honestly don’t want to be supermodels; just role models. Lots of our models said they never thought they would ever be able to do anything like this.  and it has really boosted their confidence.
None of the beautiful clothes and shoes on display will be sold but all given away to those who need them the most…generally those who are in financial crisis!
Entry is strictly by invitation only and each person will receive five vouchers to redeem on the evening for items of their choice.  We have a range of new ladies clothing from size 8 – 24.
Caroline said we want to go the extra mile by making our guests feel special by providing them with that special something. This time around we are calling it ‘Winter Wonderland’. We have some very practical clothing that will guarantee to keep people warm.
We really want people to feel good about themselves, which I believe we can achieve! It will be a lot of hard work but it is wonderful to see the clothes looking so great on the models and ultimately on our guests.
Last time the models looked relaxed and happy as they walked down the catwalk, and it was truly amazing!  We received such great feedback from the guests and it was a very moving event. We thoroughly enjoy putting on these fashion shows and are very much looking forward to the next one soon, but we can’t do it without your help!
We are looking for musicians who could play the violin/harp as our guests arrive and other musicians to play throughout the Show. We would also welcome sponsors to help fund this event.
For every £1 donated we are able to get at least £10 worth of new clothing and shoes. Please support this worthwhile event if you can by e-mailing lifeline.action@googlemail.com for more information.
We promise it will make a huge difference to the lives of those in need. Please contact Caroline Sturgeon 07779708844 to see if you qualify for a free invitation to the Fashion Show which promises to be another amazing event!
