Five members of staff at Rose Lodge Care Home had a surprise gift presentation to celebrate their decade of service to the home and its residents. Care Assistants Lorraine Sedgewick and Linzie Farrell, Activities Coordinator Diane Tweddle, Laundry Assistant Julia Gill, and Senior Carer Lynn Duncan were each presented with a bouquet of flowers and gift from Home Manager Nicola Wheatley on behalf of the home and residents to mark their career milestone. Caring duo Lorraine and Linzie say that their long service is down to loving their role as Care Assistants. Linzie Farrell, Said: “I get great job satisfaction and feel I make a difference to the residents’ everyday life.”  Lorraine Sedgewick said: “I really enjoy my job and the people I work with.” Diane Tweddle worked as a Domestic Assistant at the home for many years before taking on the Activities Coordinator role and is responsible for organising activities, events and outings for Rose Lodge residents. She said: “I can’t believe it’s been 10 years since I started working at Rose Lodge. It’s a lovely family friendly home and we like to involve all our families with activities and other social events. It’s a pleasure to come to work.” Long-serving Laundry Assistant Julia Gill, praised for her high standards and person-centred service, was named as a national finalist in the ‘Housekeeping Highflyer’ category at this year’s MMCG and Countrywide Care Awards. Senior Carer Lynn Duncan began working at Rose Lodge in 2006 as a Care Assistant when she was new to working in the Health and Social care field but flourished in her role, completing NVQ level 2 and 3 Diplomas in Health and Social Care and End of Life care, and eventually was promoted to Senior Carer. Rose Lodge Manager Nicola Wheatley, said: “We want to congratulate and thank our long-serving staff members for their many years of service. We’re very fortunate to have such dedicated and hardworking team members who demonstrate a true passion for the care and well-being of our residents.” Rose Lodge is operated by UK Care Providers Countrywide Care Homes and offers residential care to the elderly, including dedicated care for people living with dementia.
