ACORN Community Association have been awarded a Shield, a certificate and a cheque as overall winners of the ‘Best Community Garden’ section of the Great Aycliffe Town Council Community Enhancement Award.

Volunteers were thrilled to be presented with this award, which is the second recognition of work in the community this month.

Great Aycliffe Town Council have recently been judging all the nominations for the annual Community Enhancement Garden Competition. Entries were of an exceptional standard, many improved by the amount of time people have spent in their gardens during lockdown.
