Last Sunday saw 10 members turn out for the annual Billingham 10k Road Race. This is quite a flat course, but a strong wind made it just that more difficult for the runners on the day.
Richard Campbell was first home for the club and for the second time within a week broke the 40 minute barrier, finishing 35th in 39m:40s. Tom Porter was next , 63rd in 41:52, followed by Peter Smith, 105th in 45:24. Michael Smith completed the male contingency finishing 222nd in 59:39.
Trish Kay battled against a painful achilles to lead the ladies home finishing156th in 50:55.
