Boyes, Newton Aycliffe, celebrated their 30th anniversary of opening in Newton Aycliffe on Thursday 1st June. They were the 20th store that the company opened and are currently the oldest retailer still operating within Aycliffe town centre.
The current team at Boyes are:
Area Manager – Chris Taylor
Assistant Store Manager – Jill Denham
Assistant Supervisor – Anne Wardle
Store Support – Janet Hutton
The canteen was decorated and a cake presented with a buffet for the staff as they celebrated 30 years of successful trading.
Free items, such as cups, pens and water bottles were given away to customers who visited the store as well as balloons and sweets for the children.
Carole Boyes was presented with a bouquet from the Senior Region Manager, Mrs Monkman as a thank you for originally opening the store 30 years ago.
