After taking a walk up to Honest John’s next to the Blue Bridge, the amounts he raises for the community are even more amazing, considering DISC Furniture Scheme is in the same room and not part of his charity.
Many people think the whole room is John’s shop, which is not the case. John’s charity has a small partitioned area inside the Furniture Scheme room, provided by DISC free of charge for the benefit of the community.
John sells only bric-a-brac and small items of furniture. If you haven’t been already, why not venture up there as you won’t be disappointed.
The Furniture Scheme is operated by More Time UK and that is also worth a browse, as they even have a café on the premises with great food.
