Thanks to David Peat and his team, from Bullocks Construction, for supplying and fitting a new larder unit in our kitchen, thanks also to Robbie McCormack from livin for his help in this matter. The Trustees of the Centre are very grateful to all concerned for this generous help to our small but very busy association. Thanks to the Rotary Club for their magnificent effort for the running of the Jubilee Raffle and let us not forget the generosity of the people who donated the 60 prizes, we salute you all. We are sure that we speak for all of the organisations who benefited from this success story.
Volunteers: The Agnew are always looking to increase our pool of volunteers, you can be any age from 18 onwards, able bodied or with a disability, we will welcome you to join us to have the opportunity to work with Young people, Young people with disabilities, Gardening work, Office work, Fundraising and/or general duties. We will pay for any training you might need or benefit from and this will include a CRB check and for those who have any questions whatever then ring the Secretary on 01325 321504 and if not in the office leave a message and he will get back to you. So why not join us at the friendly Centre.
Disability Sports Club: At this time we run a weekly session on most Tuesday nights from 5.30pm to 7.30pm and which is Free due to the funding we receive from the Great Aycliffe & Middridge Area Partnership and run by our partners, Anderson Sports Development. The young people using this club really look forward to coming each week which is making a difference, so if you are a parent or carer of a young person aged from 5 to 16 years of age then please come along and see for yourself the work being done by Dale and Darren Anderson along with their helpers.
Visitors: Are always welcome to our Community Centre to have a look around and should you need to chat to the Centre Manager and he is not around please ring 07749 236853 to arrange a meeting.
Youth Club: This popular and well run Club is on most Saturday mornings in School term at 10.30am to 12noon for the 6 to 11 age group. First visit is free then only 50p per week. Community Nursery: Caters for all day care, half day care or even for odd hours to suit you the parent/carer. For information concerning this Ofsted registered and run by the proprietor, Jane Taylor in a highly personal and friendly way just give her a ring at any time on 07761 818514 for your child care requirements.
Agnew Bingo: Runs each Thursday, doors open at 6.30 for eyes down at 7pm and ends around 8.30pm. All welcome, just ask for Margaret or you can ring her on 01325 319857 should you require to ask any questions prior to attending.
Tai Chi: Open to all, runs each Wednesday from 6.30pm to 8pm and run by the gentleman Brett Lambert.
Aycliffe Spiritualists: Services are held each Monday, excluding Bank Holidays, from 7pm to 9pm and you are all welcome. Should you need to talk before attending then please phone Gladys Brown on 01325 324660.
Art Class: Open to all standards from beginners to advanced. Held each Tuesday from 1pm to 3pm with Andy Taylor as Tutor. Andy welcomes all to come along or you can ring him on 0191 373 24485.
Birthday Parties: For children and we reserve the right under our hire conditions to decline any bookings we feel might not meet our conditions. At this time in the last 4 years we have only had to implement this condition once. We have a set charge of only £24 for a 3 hour booking in which you would have the use of the whole centre.
