Children and staff at Sugar Hill Primary School again took on the challenge of celebrating World Book Day in the best possible way. Each class chose a particular theme to tie in with a book they were reading, with classics including Shakespeare’s MacBeth, Michael Morpurgo’s Kenzuki’s Kingdom, and JK Rowling’s legendary Harry Potter series. Some classes chose contemporary titles such as ‘Who Let The Gods Out’ and ‘Crayons’. Children spent the day reading and enjoying work based on the chosen book of their class. The staff at Sugar Hill were immensely proud of the efforts made by all the children to dress up as their favourite literary characters. The best-dressed from each class received an Easter Egg to recognise their efforts, but all the children were brilliant on the day.
