It won’t be long before excited children will soon be receiving their special Christmas present, thanks to kind-hearted Newton News readers.
Helping Hands are now running a Christmas appeal to collect money and new toys for the town’s less-fortunate youngsters in the lead up to Christmas. This year we know we’ll have another overwhelming response to our appeal because it’s already starting to gather momentum.
Alwyn White said ‘We try to plan well in advance so we can make sure they all go to the right homes. With that in mind, can you think of any worthy children for some of the toys? We like you, believe that no child should go without opening at least one present on Christmas Day. For most of the children we help these presents may be the only ones they can hope to receive this Christmas.
