Woodham Academy PE students enjoyed more success this summer. Students sitting final examinations this summer achieved record results with 100% of GCSE students achieveing A*-C grades, 47% achieving A and A* grades.
This was coupled with 100% of students passing the Btec Sport course. Together with the expansion of the hugely successful Woodham Sports Academy this autumn from 8 sports to 11, things are looking good for sport at Woodham.
Jon Tait, assistant head teacher at Woodham Academy and lead teacher on the GCSE Physical Education course commented ‘We are extremely pleased with our examination results in both GCSE PE and Btec Sport. It is pleasing to see that through our Sports Academy, our students are performing incredibly well on both the sports fields and in the classroom.
