It may be the summer holidays, but students are still attending Woodham and enjoying the facilities and excellent opportunities on offer.
A selection of Year 6 students who are due to start Woodham in September 2012 are attending Summer School and participating in a selection of activities ranging from making monster cushions in Design Technology, to capturing memories through scrapbooking and benefitting from expert PE coaching from Mr Jon Tait, Woodham Warriors Head Coach.
The Summer School is part of Woodham’s highly successful transition programme which makes the move from primary school to secondary school as easy as possible. Woodham’s Head of Year 7 and Primary Transition, Tracy Tait, together with a team of specially trained Year 7 tutors make sure that the youngest children in the school are given the care they need to settle quickly and to make new friends.
