Vintage vehicles of all descriptions will be on display at Locomotion: The National Railway Museum at Shildon on Sunday October 2nd 2016, for the annual Shildon Vintage Vehicle Rally. A host of vehicles are due to attend – ranging from an 1893 Marshall steam traction engine to a 2002 Jaguar X-Type in showroom condition. Visitors will also be able to enjoy a steam train ride with another vintage vehicle – as Furness Railway No. 20, the oldest standard gauge locomotive still operating in the UK, will be hauling the museum’s passenger service. Locomotion: is open from 10am to 5pm daily. Parking and admission are free. Please note that there is a charge for steam train rides. The museum reserves the right to change the programme.
