Sunday 21st of April saw four members of Aycliffe Tri Club competing in the Stockton Dualthon Festival. The bike run event held over 3 distances of novice, sprint and standard saw Michelle Scott in the sprint come in with an excellent result of 3rd place over all in her category with a time of 1:11:14.
Kevin Greenall came in with a 1st in his category with a time of 1:18:09. Two club members took part in the longer distance standard race with Andy Sedgewick placed 6th in his category with a finish time of 2:09:14. Gareth Elkin came in 33rd at 2:25:47 in a very strong field of almost 200 athletes.
Earlier in the season Andy Sedgewick raced in the Morpeth Duathlon where he came in 12th position with a time of 1:31:28. Both Michelle and Andy are Club Coaches at Aycliffe Tri Club and compete for BikeScience – Boardman Elite.
These are excellent results from this new club – well done to everyone taking part.
