The Community Festive Fair at Bishop Auckland College returns for 2017 on Sunday 10th December 10am-3pm.

This is a great local event to celebrate Christmas as a community and to share all the good things that happen locally. There will be a Festive Market which will include handmade crafts, gifts, food, community stalls and much more. If anyone would like a stall at the event, please contact cdda-tr.WBFL@nhs.net or call 01207 523651 for a booking form. Private/profit making stalls are £10 and statutory, community and voluntary stalls are FREE.

The aim of the event is to showcase and celebrate the fantastic range of businesses, organisations and community groups within south-west Durham.

As well as the market there’ll be performances, demonstrations and activities for all ages, all free of charge. If you’re in a local group and you want to show thousands of visitors what you can do, get in touch.

Marnie Ramsey, Wellbeing for Life Coordinator said “We are bringing back the event this year with a healthy family focus and would like to invite all members of the community along.

We really love getting involved with our communities and this is a great way to celebrate Christmas together. We’ve got lots of attractions, workshops and displays planned; there’s literally something for everyone.”

Children can visit Santa for free throughout the event and there’s an opportunity to meet Spidey and the Ice Queen and Anna from 10-12noon.

The County Durham Wellbeing for Life service aims to help people to live well and maintain good health for themselves and those around them.

They will be announcing more attractions over the coming weeks on their Facebook page @CountyDurham WellbeingForLifeService.
