Now that spring is here, it’s a great time for a clear out and if you’re wondering what to do with your unwanted furniture, the County Durham Furniture Forum can help.
Six charities across the county make up the forum so why not contact one of the schemes who will collect reusable items free of charge.

The forum provides low cost furniture to local people, a range of training and volunteering opportunities and reduces waste at the same time.
Ruth Smith, external projects officer with Durham County Council, said: “Spring is the perfect time to have a clear out of unwanted furniture or appliances. Think about donating them to the furniture forum who can collect them free of charge.”
Last year over 500 tonnes of furniture was reused by members of County Durham Furniture Forum.
