Thursday 4th August
We met at Middridge village hall car park to complete the rained off walk from the previous week. We headed up Walkers Lane, leaving the shelter of the car park into a strong cross wind (really cross) ruling out sketching the farm buildings. We made our way to the bridge over the railway and made the best of it using the shelter of the pillars on the parapet. Then down to the old quarry, reclaimed by nature, it was an oasis of calm and warmth. We then made our way back along a tree lined lane (disused railway bed) to the outskirts of Middridge.
If you would like to join us, we meet in Newton Aycliffe, or surrounding areas, on a Thursday morning. For more information phone Bill Lowery on 01325 311225.
