Following on from last weekend’s sell out performance, international pianist Jeff Barnhart is back at Darlington New Orleans Jazz Club on Saturday – this time with his unique take on the great black and white silent movies of cinema’s early days.

On Saturday 15 September, Jeff will perform a treasure trove of stories, songs and theme tunes whilst footage from some of the earliest silent movie comedy films rolls out on the large screen above him. He’ll play the piano accompaniment to evoke a bygone age, weaving his musical magic from scene to scene whilst Buster Keaton entertains with romps through car chases, stunts, suspense and romance.

The Great Silent Movie Show starts at 12.30pm at St Augustine’s Parish Hall, Larchfield Street, Darlington. Entry is just £10 on the door, and children 15 and under go free. St Augustine’s Parish Centre is a short walk from the bus stops on Tubwell Row and Darlington railway station.
